I cannot recommend Utah Solar Alternative Energy highly enough. The crew was professional, well prepared and willing to do anything to get the job done….and done correctly. In the middle of winter, in my back country cabin, they were able to install a 48 volt battery system and integrate it in my generator system seamlessly. These guys really do a fantastic job, and honestly care if the customer is satisfied. You will not be disappointed. C.E. Good

Dear Joe,

Thank you for coming to install the device that helps the batteries regulate themselves when the temperature is cold. It has worked well for us. YEAH! Thank you so much for your persistence in resolving the problem. Now the system doesn’t seem to draw extra power and turn itself on. The batteries realize that they are full even with the winter cold in the garage. We know there are always a few site adjustments. Now the system works as well as it did in the warmer months. We realize that not many people have a battery backup system, and that required more installation, but we’ll be so delighted to have power in an emergency.

We enjoyed working with you and your team. We love seeing how much power we’ve generated in a day. We keep a daily log of our output. It is amazing that even on a rainy-cloudy-gray day the roof panels still make some energy. It was so fun to have a power bill of $4.40 month after month. ($4.40 is the Rocky Mountain Power minimum service charge.) December is the first month we didn’t make enough power. We are just waiting for longer, brighter days.

Thank you also for the “pre-panels” repair work. The RV driveway, where the power meter is located, had sunk over the years. We didn’t realize that the pulling away of the cement had pulled the safety metal conduit apart where the electric lines enter the meter box. The power company personnel who came out told us we were an accident waiting to happen. I’m sure our neighbors are glad that our “little” problem didn’t blow out the transformer for this street. Thank you to your electrician, Tony, for noticing and resolving the problem before the roof install. Even if we’d skipped our solar roof it would have been worth hiring your company to make our home safe.

We thank you for the good workmanship, attention to details and site clean-up. Plus, (let’s face it,) the roof is sizzling in July so thanks for frying for us! Patrick deserves a special thank for braving the attic crawl space.

We wish your company the best! Alternative energy is certainly the way to go for our nation. We are glad that we picked your company to do the install. We like everyone who came to work and counted them not workmen but friends. We would be glad to recommend you.

Sincerely,

Christine and Genal R.

We were very interested in trying solar energy at our Park City home to help reduce our environmental impact & overall energy usage. The prior owner of our home recommended we try Utah Solar & Alternative Energy (USAE) to do our photovoltaic system design and installation and the experience was excellent!  USAE installed a beautiful 7kW pole-mount, grid-tied system that, according to Rocky Mountain Power, is the largest residential system they have signed-off on to date in Summit County We were also able to take full advantage of the rebate & net-metering program saving us $6,000 on the overall system. My favorite story so far is when we received our latest energy bill; I noticed it seemed way too high, which did not make sense given our newly installed Photovoltaic system.  I called Rocky Mountain Power to question the invoice. The customer service representative asked me to read to her the numbers on the meter, which I did, and she then admitted that the bill I received was only an estimate (they had not read the meter) and I was credited $600 towards my bill.  On the days we are not staying at our Park City home, the meter actually runs in reverse!
We would like to thank USAE for all their help and hard work under tough conditions (Winter in the Wasatch!). USAE has been a great company to work with and one we highly recommend.

Sincerely,

Greg J.

I wanted to write a quick note to say THANK YOU UTAH SOLAR AND ALTERNATIVE ENERGY! I started researching Solar Water Heating about 2 years ago and couldn't get anybody to call me back, or simply email. I saw USAE's website and called them on a Saturday. Bill Wilson not only answered, but spent a good while patiently answering all my questions about price, installation and the benefits of Solar Water Heating. A few months later I had my Velux Solar Water Heating System installed. Everything went smoothly, and the USAE team patiently answered all my questions as new ones arose. It's been a little over 4 months since my installation (Oct. 2008), and have had no serious problems. The system works wonderfully, and even in the Winter we've managed to save quite a bit considering all the snow Park City has gotten! I look forward to the Summer, when we will really be able to take full advantage of the cost savings Solar Water Heating creates. I love the System and am now exploring more options as we look to USAE for our PhotoVoltaic needs. Thank you Utah Solar and Alternative Energy!

Sincerely,

Kurt W. R.
